A nutritious and energy-packed traditional Indian sweet made with gond (edible gum), dry fruits, and A2 ghee. Perfect for boosting immunity and strength!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup gond (edible gum)
- 1/2 cup almonds (roughly chopped)
- 1/2 cup cashews (roughly chopped)
- 1/2 cup pistachios (roughly chopped)
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 cup Sarvadhenu A2 Ghee (for frying and binding)
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)
- 1/2 cup jaggery (grated or powdered)
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder (for flavor)
- 2 tbsp desiccated coconut (optional, for added flavor)
Preparation Method:
Step 1: Frying Gond and Dry Fruits
- Heat 2-3 tbsp of Sarvadhenu A2 Ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan.
- Once the ghee is hot, fry the gond in small batches. It will puff up and become light. Remove and set aside on a plate.
- In the same pan, lightly fry the chopped almonds, cashews, and pistachios until golden and fragrant. Set aside.
- Fry the raisins until they puff up and set aside.
Step 2: Preparing the Flour Mixture
- In the same pan, add the remaining Sarvadhenu A2 Ghee and roast the wheat flour on low heat. Stir continuously until the flour turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. This step may take 10-15 minutes.
- Once roasted, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
Step 3: Assembling the Ladoos
- In a mixing bowl, crush the fried gond into small pieces using a rolling pin or blender.
- Add the fried dry fruits, puffed gond, desiccated coconut, and cardamom powder to the roasted wheat flour.
- Slowly mix in the jaggery and stir until it melts slightly and combines well with the other ingredients.
- While the mixture is still warm, shape it into ladoos by taking small portions and rolling them in your hands.
Serving:
- Once the ladoos are ready, let them cool and store them in an airtight container. They stay fresh for weeks!
Pro Tip:
For added flavor and nutrition, you can add chopped dates or other nuts of your choice.
